Westinghouse Electric Company 38 WW2 Helmet Liner. Blackened brass A-Washers made mid 1944-45. 1976 sweatband/1967 nape strap. Painted Green, possible Navy use from 1970’s-1990’s.

Description

Manufactured in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania this “high pressure” manufactured WW2 helmet liner M1 is identified by the embossed “W” in the crown (Westinghouse’s logo to this current day). Westinghouse was the largest M-1 helmet liner producer and had two production divisions; Micarta & Bryant Electric. Micarta Division produced about 13,000,000 M-1 helmet liners and Bryant Electric Division about 10,000,000. Westinghouse Electric Company started M-1 helmet liner delivery in May 1942. Westinghouse discontinued production around August 17, 1945 when the war ended.

Blackened brass A-Washers. 76 sweatband/67 nape strap. Possible Navy use from 70’s-90’s. This is a one of a kind WW2 helmet liner.
