Description

WW2 Helmet Liner Firestone 22. Manufactured in Akron, Ohio the high pressure manufactured M-1 helmet liner is identified by an embossed “F” in the crown.  Firestone Tire and Rubber Company delivered helmet liners to the US Army in September 1942.  Approximately 7,500,000 M-1 helmet liners were made. Production stopped around August 17 1945 when the war ended.

Blackened brass A-Washers. Leather chinstrap is not brittle. Overall a nice liner minus the missing A-Rivet from the suspension. This is a one of a kind WW2 helmet liner.
