A protective carrier for the old style West German gas masks. These containers are Aluminum lined, steel outer is 4″ diam. x 13″ long. Features include gasket sealed lid, spring latch for secure closure, and a special compartment in the top of the lid for extra lenses. Used-good condition. Looks very similar to the German World War 2 container, these were issued in the late 1960’s and early 70’s.
