I wear a Men’s 6R, and these fit just right. Bought a pair a few years ago. The leather is healthy, but the soles were crumbling a bit and leaving marks on floors (rubber is going to do that with age no matter what). With a $20 re-sole job, these are good as new. Scrub ’em up with some saddle soap, grease ’em up with some dubbin (the proper way to treat rough-out combat boots) and they’ll last a long time.

Those boots rocks! Solid construction. But the rough out was quite a pain. It has got to be dubbed for the cold here in the North West. I used Pappy’s beeswax dubbin then Obenauf. The result was awesome after all.

The sole can be save with some Turtle Wax rubber preserving compounds. Just be careful not to have them on the welt stitches. Other than that, a re-sole is totally optional. I sealed the stitches up with Lexol and Lincoln Neutral Polish. Black or colored polish would leave aweful flakes on the ground.

One great thing with these boots are, after being washed with saddle soap, drenched in water then dubbed and let dry correctly, it can be brushed to a light shine and then polish regularly. It’ll be slick as smooth leather boots but with less blisters because the internal was smooth leather.

The speed hooks are really a treat. They lace up quickly and tidily.
